Simteligence is a longstanding IT company, based in Brussels, Belgium, specialized in pest control management software solutions.

More than a decade ago, we have been asked by some of our accounts, to come up with a remote control and monitoring solution for rodents.

We’ve been looking around on the market and did not find what our clients really looked for, so we decided to sit around the table with them and figure out what their “dream” system needed to be.

That journey was really interesting and a very informative experience.

Out of many requirements the following were paramount :

– the devices in the field need to be energetically independent – that means, no plugs to the mains, no rechargeable batteries.

The reason is simple: the users do not want to be dependant on third parties, for their power supply and do not want to spend their precious time in the task of recharging batteries.

That’s how we came up with batteries lasting up to 15 years, in each device.


– they have to be able to communicate independently

Clients do not want, for all kind of reasons – security- among many, to provide access to their own local networks, such as WiFi.

Moreover, the PCO’s do not want to set up their own networks, including routers, boosters, etc.

So we came up with the solution, to inserting a SIM card into every single device.
